Job Title: Principal Structural Design Engineer Location: Houston, TX and Greenville, SC Employment Type: 12-Month Contract to Hire Max Pay: $76/hr. Position Summary: Client is seeking a Principal Structural Design Engineer to lead complex structural engineering efforts for high-impact EPC projects, including government and nuclear facilities. This role offers the opportunity to mentor teams, ensure technical excellence, and drive project success across all phases—from concept through construction. Key Responsibilities: Lead structural engineering activities with oversight from the Discipline Lead Engineer. Guide junior engineers and designers; review and approve their work. Perform advanced structural calculations (concrete, steel, foundations). Develop specifications, material selections, and design criteria. Execute work in alignment with scope, schedule, cost, and quality plans. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and construction teams. Support procurement and construction phases (technical bid reviews, RFIs, field changes). Prepare and manage estimates, schedules, and key quantity tracking. Ensure compliance with federal/state codes and DOE requirements.
