In this role, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients across our vast network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. This position offers a flexible schedule tailored to the demands of our hospital services, pairing your expertise with the specific needs of our patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assist in the treatment of patients, facilitating their recovery and improving their quality of life. Provide respiratory care and life support to patients with respiratory disorders. Administer aerosol-based medications and operate various respiratory equipment including ventilators and oxygen supplies. Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic testing to develop effective treatment plans. Educate patients and their families about respiratory treatments and conditions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in clinical rounds, offering insights and updates on patient progress. Manage patient records and document all care-related activities. Adapt to varying patient loads and needs as required in a pool position setting. In-depth knowledge of respiratory care procedures and protocols. Ability to operate and manage a wide array of respiratory therapeutic and diagnostic equipment. Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Time management skills and flexibility to meet patient and facility needs. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential is required. Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
