Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a skilled Speech
Pathologist to join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals.
In this role, you will be pivotal in providing both facility-based
and home-based speech therapy services, aligning with our
commitment to high-quality patient care across our extensive
network of inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, home health
agencies, and hospice agencies. This position requires expertise in
assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social
communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in
patients of all ages from diverse backgrounds. Evaluate patient
speech, language, and swallowing abilities and impairments using
various diagnostic tools and assessments. Develop and implement
appropriate individualized treatment plans for patients, based on
ongoing evaluations and standardized protocols. Provide therapeutic
interventions to improve and restore communication and swallowing
functions. Educate patients and caregivers about treatment plans,
exercises, and strategies to aid in recovery and adaptation.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic
care and effective treatment outcomes. Maintain accurate and
confidential patient records and provide progress reports as
required. Participate in professional development activities and
stay updated with the latest practices in speech pathology. Expert
knowledge of therapeutic practices and techniques in
speech-language pathology. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools
and software for speech and swallowing assessment. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with
patients, families, and healthcare team. Ability to work
independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Active state
licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical
Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American
Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
