Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Responsibilities: Diagnose and
treat acute, episodic or chronic psychiatric illnesses and
substance abuse disorders Schedule is working two weeks at the
hospital located in Cypress, Texas and two weeks at the Tomball
location at the PHP/IOP. While working for two weeks at the
hospital you will be taking evening call for doc to docs for any
new potential patient arrival. Prescribe all necessary medications
and appropriate treatment modalities. For any new patients, you
will perform Independent Psychiatric Evaluations both at the
inpatient location and the PHP/IOP. Patient staffing with the
treatment team. Facilitate referrals to other healthcare
professionals and medical facilities. Communicate patient care
concerns/updates with the treatment team. Coverage for the hospital
is required while you are scheduled to work the hospital and one
weekend day a month (either Saturday or Sunday) Ability to commute
to both locations according to the monthly schedule. Complete a
legible billing sheet for all patients seen at both locations,
which include patient name, billing code, diagnosis code, and date
of birth and turn them in to the Front Office Manager.
Qualifications: Master's of Science in Nursing/Psychiatric Mental
Health Nurse Practitioner. Ability to build rapport with patients.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written
and verbal communication skills. Strong leadership qualities. Good
computer and typing skills. Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record
systems. MUST have a current DEA that includes 3, 3N, 4 & 5
medications. MUST have professional liability insurance 1,000,000 -
