Job Description:
Memorial Hermann, a prestigious leader in the Texas health
system, is seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Tech to join our
team. This role is crucial for utilizing Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI) scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to
aid in patient diagnosis. The ideal candidate will ensure the
highest level of patient safety and diagnostic accuracy, aligning
with our commitment to clinical excellence and patient
satisfaction. Operate MRI equipment to produce quality images of
designated parts of the human body as per physician orders. Assess
patients, explain the procedure, and ensure patient comfort and
safety during the MRI scans. Monitor patient during the scanning
and maintain communication to ensure patient safety. Adjust scan
parameters appropriately for optimal results. Collaborate with
radiologists to determine if additional scans are necessary.
Maintain MRI equipment and report any malfunctions for prompt
repair. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations
concerning health and safety standards to protect patients and
staff. Profound knowledge of MRI technology and the anatomy of the
body. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Detailed
orientation and ability to follow complex instructions. Capability
to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks. Experience
with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Medical Insurance
Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent. Valid and current Radiology
Technologist license if required by the state.
