Mammography Tech Location: Houston, TX Agency: Pride Health Pay: $50 to $53 per hour Shift Information: 5 days x 8 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pride Health is hiring a Mammography Technologist to support our client’s medical facility, located in Houston, TX 77025 . This is a 3 month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job title : Mammography Technologist Location: Houston, TX 77025 Duration : Contract Pay: $50 - $53. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications. Specific Duties: Perform diagnostic and screening mammography, including general radiographic, fluoroscopic, ASC, and/or SCNB procedures as applicable. Apply technical principles to produce optimal radiographic images while maintaining repeat rates of ? 5% (mammography) and ? 8% (radiography). Demonstrate proficiency in patient positioning, anatomical orientation, and adapting techniques for anatomical anomalies. Adjust communication style based on age-related and individual patient needs. Conduct routine mammography quality control testing in compliance with MQSA and accreditation standards. Perform equipment maintenance checks and report malfunctions promptly. Document all QA activities and implement corrective action when standards are not met. Maintain cleaning logs and ensure adequate supply inventory. Accurately utilize RIS and PACS systems in accordance with department guidelines. Identify and report issues with image transmission or atypical conditions affecting image quality. Ensure proper documentation for radiologist review. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required. Minimum 40 hours of ARRT-approved mammography training. Two (2) years of mammography experience OR one (1) year of X-ray/SCNB experience within a clinical setting. Experience with diagnostic mammography and stereotactic core needle biopsy (SCNB) preferred. ARRT (R)(M) certification required. MRT – General Certificate required. BCLS certification required.
