Description Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Reports To Occupational Therapist / Director of Rehabilitation Job
Summary Provides OT services under supervision of a licensed OT.
Assists patients in regaining daily living and independence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Carry out OT treatment plans.
Instruct patients in adaptive equipment and self-care. Document
services and report progress to OT. Collaborate with therapy and
nursing staff. Qualifications Associate’s Degree from accredited
OTA program. Current state license. Experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- KSAs Knowledge of OT activities.
Ability to follow OT instructions. Strong communication skills.
Physical & Environmental Requirements Lifting, standing, walking,
bending. Healthcare and LTC facility environment. EEO & ADA

Qualifications An Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from
an accredited program is required. A current state license to
practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required
and must be maintained. Previous experience in occupational therapy
or rehabilitation is preferred.
