As a driver for Hogan1, you will manage routes efficiently and ensure the safe delivery of goods, employing the latest in logistics technology and practices. This position is essential to maintaining the high service standards that Hogan1 is celebrated for in the transportation industry. Operate a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds per Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Ensure timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery. Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all goods are properly secured. Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspection, including checking the tire pressure, oil, and water levels. Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair statuses, following applicable state and federal regulations. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Report defects, accidents, or violations of cargo, vehicle, and safety procedures. Proven work experience as a truck driver. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB, etc.). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).
