Job Description:
Definition This is a full-time (Administrative Support Workers)
position with the City's Communication Department. An individual in
this position will be one (1) of two (2) front line contacts
located in the City Hall lobby. This individual will respond to
customer inquiries in-person, electronically and via telephone
regarding City programs and services, responding with accurate,
timely and courteous customer service. Reporting relationship:
Director of Communications. Examples of Work Resolve inquiries by
either answering the question or transferring the call to an
appropriate person or explaining the internal process or
procedures; maintain records of customer interactions, services
provided, details of inquiries, complaints, comments and actions
taken; Complete forms, prepare changes of address in the database
and issue service orders via computer; Process new and renewable
alarm permits, including payment and issuance of permits; Deliver
incoming mail to department mail slots; Perform other related
duties as assigned; Subject to 24-hour recall. Education,
Experience, or Certification High School Diploma or General
Educational Development (GED) Certificate; a minimum of two (2)
years professional related experience; and ability to type 30-40
words per minute required. Call center, customer service center, or
comparable setting preferred. Supplemental Information The
Department of Human Resources & Organizational Development may
consider an equivalent combination of education, training and/or
experience
