Job Description:
HPC-Industrial powered by Clean Harbors, is looking for a
Supervisor IS (Industrial Services) to work at a customer location
in Deer Park, TX and to join their safety conscious team! This team
member is responsible for two or more crews by planning, leading,
organizing, and coordinating the daily operations of the service
line crew. This includes responsibility over proper operation of
equipment, driving operational efficiencies at the work site and
ensuring accurate documentation related to the job is completed in
a timely fashion. Ensures compliance with all Company
policies/procedures and maintains/improves good customer relations
by providing quality, timely industrial cleaning services. The
Supervisor IS serves as representative of HPC-Industrial in
creating a continuous working relationship with
clients/customers.

Responsibilities
- Must always come to work fit for duty.
- Instructs, provides feedback, and directs and assists crew in
performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with
client requirements and Company policies, practices, and
procedures. Enforces Company employee policies and may remove an
employee from the job when required.
- Leads crew, assist crew and train new employees in completion
of the job duties in accordance with all company and client
policy.
- Reads job procedure and ensures all required equipment is
available and operational prior to starting job.
- Complete and review (JSA's) Job Safety Analysis and all safety
paperwork.
- Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment such as but
not limited to pumps, hoses, and circulators in accordance with
operations job schematics, training, guidelines, and safety
procedures.
- Help install, fix, repair valves, caps, hoses, pump gaskets,
and all other external and internal equipment.
- Monitor all equipment during circulation for integrity and
efficiency.
- Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including but not
limited to wearing personal protective equipment.
- Maintain personal PPE.
- Must have the ability to work safely in and around heavy
machinery in loud, hazardous, hot, and cold industrial
environments.
- Inspects equipment and general work area prior to starting any
job.
- Corrects deficiencies that may cause accidents, injuries, lost
productivity, harm to equipment, or is inconsistent with our
client's requirements and policies and procedures.
- Communicate updates with clients.
- Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment
when required.
- Completes and turns in all appropriate paperwork daily.
- Train Technicians and Operators on-the-job in equipment
operation, service line processes and necessary paperwork.
- Operates all necessary equipment in the chemical cleaning
service line in accordance with operation, training and safety
procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Act as safety representative responsible for safety policies
and procedures of both the company and the customer, including
hands-on information regarding operations, safety, equipment,
emergency response and administrative functions;
- Hands-on operation, when required, of manual and automated
hydroblasting equipment;
- Operation of special equipment, such as Ultra High Pressure
pumps;
- Operate equipment by energizing the pumping equipment and/or
any specialized hydroblasting and/or chemical cleaning equipment,
vacuum trucks and cutting equipment being used on the job;
- May be required to examine surface cleaned to ensure
conformance to company and customer specifications;
- Perform routine maintenance on company equipment being used on
the job;
- Perform any and all duties associated with liquid vacs, air
machines and jet rodders;
- Direct a crew of vacuum technicians;
- Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer
locations;
- Completes pre and post trip inspections, driver's logs and
complies with all other vehicle policy and DOT requirements;
- Loading and unloading hoses;
- Unload vacuum truck at the dump site;
- Provide general maintenance in the field;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 plus years of experience within the industrial
cleaning industry. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and ability in people
management.
- Strong knowledge of operating equipment used in service
line.
- Ability to comprehend the English language, written and
verbal.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting equipment is
preferred.
- Current certification as an authorized Company driver.
- CDL with endorsements, strongly preferred.
- Execute a 180-degree rotary motion of the cervical spine in
order to allow complete movement of the head and neck;
- Must be able to hold and operate with both hands a double
trigger hydroblast shotgun and other hydroblast equipment;
- Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and stationary
platforms up to heights of 200 feet;
- Tolerate and function in confined spaces of a minimum of five
(5) foot inside diameter;
- Hold the back thrust of 50lbs. on a straight 66" pipe for a
minimum of one (1) hour;
- Must be physically capable of using both negative pressure and
air supplied respirators;
- Duties include driving heavy equipment for long periods;
- Must be able to wear protective clothing and/or equipment. This
includes, but is not limited to, nomex coveralls, a back belt,
slickers, rubber boots, a fresh air breathing mask and escape pack,
and a hard hat;
- Work under extreme climate conditions (excessive high heat
index of 95+degree Fahrenheit, 98% humidity; and sub-zero weather
conditions) relative to geographic location;
- Exposure to dust (chemical and environmental), fumes (chemical
and fluids), exhaust and highly pressurized fluids. (A respirator
will be provided when required.);
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
What does it take to work for HPC-Industrial?
Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety
training, on-the-job training and essential experience gained on
other jobs;
Language proficiency: understand English at a level to comprehend
safety training and respond to instructions in emergency
situations;
Valid driver's license, CDL Class A or B and other requirements of
company's driving policy required when driving company vehicle or
using personal vehicle on company business;
Must be knowledgeable in the operation of emergency equipment, such
as fire extinguishers;
Experience operating a vacuum truck. Smartphone required for
Electronic Logging Device;
Working knowledge of operating equipment used in wet and dry
vacuums.
