Enterprise Compensation and Global Total Rewards is accountable for
the development of leading-edge total reward solutions, designed to
support UHG's business growth and to attract and retain our
workforce of over 380k. This role enables Total Rewards to achieve
its mission of a globally integrated and competitive pay for
performance workforce by working collaboratively with key global
stakeholders across the Enterprise such as Benefits, People
Business Partners, Finance, Sr. Business Leaders, Communications,
Optum Technology, Legal, DEI, Talent Acquisition & Development,
Mergers & Acquisitions, and other strategic partners externally.
Provides oversight to UHG's go-forward pay strategy to improve our
overall total rewards position, while also delivering on our core
programs with the highest quality. Key accountability includes the
strategic development of our competitive pay positioning and
driving the operational model that delivers value from a $21B
annual capital investment that is relevant, value added,
competitive, and responsive to critical business and financial
objectives, external influences as well as customer and employee
feedback. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from
anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide strategic vision to the
enterprise for UHG's global compensation philosophies and future
compensation programs Provides leadership and oversight to the
senior compensation leadership team, who are responsible for the
strategy, design, development, and deployment of global
compensation solutions through analyses, tools, processes, client
consulting, technology infrastructure, and corporate reporting As a
trusted advisor, work closely with the UHG People Team leadership
to advance UHG's Total Rewards competitiveness across multiple
assets from base pay, bonus, equity, non-U.S. benefits, and other
key programs (i.e., Physician Compensation) Leverage advanced
technologies and tools to enable strategic and scalable global
enterprise compensation decisions across UHC, Optum, and UHG
Corporate Groups Advance our DEI agenda through aggressive and
competitive business driven pay equity strategies that position UHG
as an industry leader amongst peers and an expanding group of
competitors Partner with executive leaders and the Sr. People team
leadership to develop appropriate compensation strategies,
policies, programs, and communications Represent the business
segments in the design, development, and implementation of
UnitedHealth Group shared services initiatives and conversely
represent shared services in business initiatives Participate
directly on enterprise-wide compensation projects including policy
and program development and automated solutions Provide leadership
to the enterprise compensation and global total rewards team Ensure
that the team is business savvy, proactive, responsive, and results
focused Create a culture that empowers teams, values innovation,
emphasizes people and performance management, employee engagement
and values diversity, equity, and inclusion Be aware of evolving
government influences on management, policies, processes, and
practices, and work to ensure that the company is compliant with
all applicable laws and regulations concerning employment
practices, FLSA, etc. You'll be rewarded and recognized for your

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources,
Business, Finance, or related field; or demonstrated equivalency
Proven ethical leadership with the commitment to lead by example,
acting with honesty and integrity, using our values as a foundation
Demonstrated systems thinking across silos, including influencing
executives in shaping, and implementing long-term business
strategies aligned with people strategies Extensive experience in
problem solving in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and ambiguous,
complex environment Experience with mergers and acquisitions,
including typical processes, leadership assessment, pre-close
partnership, and organizational/cultural integration Experience
leading compensation, incentive compensation, physician
compensation and implementing change, while moving with speed to
capture opportunity Experience successfully navigating a global
matrixed environment at a large, complex organization,
understanding how the different pieces fit together across the
enterprise to deliver for the employee and the customer
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships
across the enterprise Proven successful consulting and
interpersonal agility competencies demonstrated across various
types of critical executive stakeholders Experience demonstrating
business fluency and knowledge Demonstrated competence in inspiring
inclusive leadership by championing diversity, developing a solid
leadership bench, and inspiring and unlocking the full potential
performance in others Proven analytically incisive by quickly
connecting the dots and applying data and analytics to influence
decision making and business outcomes Experience developing and
implementing workforce strategy, aligned with, and driving business

win Preferred Qualifications: Masters in HR/OD or MBA Demonstrated
